4 Stroke Conversion kits
The Ultra Hobby Products 4 stroke conversion kit is a simple yet effective device designed by Pat Johnston which converts a modern 4 stroke Radio Control motor to Control Line Stunt use.
The kit consists of a manifold, venturi, and OS needle valve assembly. The manifold is mounted in place of the carburetor on an RC 4 stroke motor. A venturi is then added and a needle valve assembly.
This kit yields a steady, efficient run throughout the pattern. In direct comparison with the new Saito CL motors, we have actually achieved steadier runs with the Ultra Hobby Products setup than with the stock setup from Saito. The system has also been effective with several different types of props; 2-blade wood, 2 and 3-blade APC style props, and 2 and 3-blade carbon fiber props.
The UHP 4 stroke conversion kits have been used by many top competitors and has placed in the Top 20 at the Nats several times.
